Flower Care
A simple care guide for after you've received a BEG arrangement to help your flowers last as long as possible:
✿ Keep your flowers hydrated!! Flowers drink alot of water, especially in the summer heat- simply add water to your vase as your flowers drink.
✿ Your arrangement will need a complete water change every 2-3 days. To do this with an already created arrangement, simply flush out the old water by running the vase water under the sink faucet until new, clean water has cycled in. You can also trim the stems of your flowers at a diagonal angle before placing them in the water. This promotes better water absorption and extends the life of your blooms. Be sure to remove any leaves that will be submerged to prevent bacteria buildup.
✿ As your flowers start to spoil, remove any that die to keep the remaining ones fresh.
✿ Keep your flowers in a cool spot away from any sunny windows or drafts & away from any ripening fruit.
If you've received a BEG bouquet, here's what to do once you get home:
✿ Unwrap your bouquet and remove the temporary water source.
✿ With clean snippers, give your stems a fresh angled cut- this allows the flowers to drink more.
✿ Once you have given your stems a fresh snip, place flowers in a clean vase with cool water. Make sure to remove any leaves that may touch the water as this will cause bacteria to grow which will affect your flowers vase life! If you wish to add a homemade flower food to the water, mix 1 tsp of sugar, 1 tsp of bleach, and 2 tsp of lemon juice per 1 litre of water.
✿ Change water every 2 days.
✿ Keep your flowers in a cool spot away from any sunny windows or drafts & away from any ripening fruit.
